Evidenced down to the source
Case files, expert opinions, template contracts: Vryne answers questions from your files — and every statement leads to document, page and wording. Cited answers instead of a model that merely sounds plausible.
An answer that does not name its source is worthless in a mandate. That is why Vryne cites every passage it relies on — and says so openly when the file is silent.
A real answer
Limitation checked, sources open
Vryne answers the question about the limitation period from the expert opinion and the acceptance protocol — and puts the statutory provision from the web next to it. The note on suspension comes from the file, not from the question.
- Sources with page numbers: one click opens the wording from the file, not a summary.
- Note box: for what the question did not ask — here the possible suspension.
- Statutory text as a web source: properly linked instead of paraphrased — verifiable in one click.

Proof instead of promise
From the statement to the source
A question to the files, an answer with a source and the wording of the clause — verifiable before it goes into the mandate.
What liability cap is in the template contract for consulting services?
Liability is limited to twice the net order value, up to a maximum of € 250,000. The cap does not apply in cases of intent and gross negligence. [1][2]
Ask your documents …
§ 11 Liability. The contractor is liable for damages arising from the breach of material contractual obligations.
Liability is limited to twice the net order value, up to a maximum of € 250,000.
The cap does not apply in cases of intent and gross negligence or injury to life, body and health.
Steht die Antwort nicht in euren Dokumenten, sagt Vryne genau das — statt sich etwas auszudenken.
Use cases
What a law firm asks
Case files & pleadings
Deadlines, jurisdictions, procedural status — found instead of searched.
Expert opinions & case law
What does the classification rely on? The answer quotes the passage.
Template contracts & clause libraries
Which version is current, what was changed, where is the clause?
Firm knowledge & processes
From costs law to file management: the manual that answers.
Beyond the question
When the file alone is not enough
Some mandate questions no file answers. Research brings both together — the file stays where it is.
The files and the law side by side
The question is split into sub-questions and worked through: first in your documents, then on the web — statutory text, case law, commentary. The result is a report, not a link list.
- Contract clause checked against current case law
- Fee and cost questions with a source instead of from memory
- The plan with all sub-questions and the costs is shown before the start
Research costs a multiple of a question in chat — that is why Vryne shows the plan and the costs before it starts.
Confidentiality
Up to attorney-client privilege
Separate per mandate, separate per firm
Documents, sections and chats belong to your organisation. No search and no answer crosses that boundary — not even by accident.
No third-country transfer of your documents
Application, database, storage and language models run in German data centres. For documents and answers the question of standard contractual clauses does not arise; only mail delivery is, temporarily, the exception.
No training, no disclosure
The model provider sees only the passages a question currently needs — and does not train on them. Verifiable among the subprocessors.
Roles and log
You decide who may upload. An activity log records what happens in the knowledge base — for the question that will come one day.
Frequent questions from law firms
Is the use compatible with attorney-client privilege?
Processing stays in German data centres, the models also run in Germany, and there is no training on your content. The data processing agreement is in German, place of jurisdiction Germany. Which files you upload is your decision per mandate.
Does the model not hallucinate?
Every statement carries a source: document, page, wording — one click shows the original. If something is not in your documents, Vryne says exactly that instead of inventing. The review stays with you, but it takes seconds instead of hours.
Can we set up assistants per area of law?
Yes. One agent for construction law, one for employment law, one for the secretariat — each with its own role, its own model and its own required documents.
